The NYC Empire Dragons, a cancer survivor dragon boat team, is inviting our school community for a day of environmental service on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Flushing Bay, New York.
Each year, they partner with the environmental organization, Riverkeeper and organize a day of Clean Up of the Flushing Bay shoreline. They typically have over 200 volunteers; families, school groups, youth organizations, church groups, and individuals of all ages.
This year, the Billion Oyster Project will be present to reintroduce oysters into the New York waterways, in an effort to naturally clean up the water.
