  • Deadline for High School Applications

    A message from the Mr. Diaz, our middle school guidance counselor...

    Deadline for HS applications is on November 23rd.  If your child has lost or misplaced the application, please encourage them to see me as quickly as possible.  Often the students who've misplaced the application are too embarrassed to bring it to my attention.  Please encourage them to come to me as the deadlines are fixed by the DOE and when the cut off date occurs, I am unable to enter the choices.  Thank you for your assistance in this matter.  Please feel free to contact me, should you have any questions about the process.

  • In-House Dental Visits with Smile New York

    November 3, 2016 - 9:59am

    Smile New York will be offering in-school preventive dental care on November 23, 2016.  Students will receive a complete dental exam, including cleaning and flouride, as well as sealants and x-rays if needed.  Completed permission forms can be dropped off with our parent coordinator, Mrs. Schnall in room 423.

  • Financial Aid Workshop for Seniors Only

    12th Grade Parents/Guardians only!

    Please join us for our Financial Aid workshop on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016. Appointments are available starting at 7:30 AM. If you would like to come in during school hours, which is 7:30 AM-2 PM, please email CWashington@ewsis.org to set up an appointment. Kindly note that we will be completing the FAFSA, which your child MUST fill out in order to get a financial aid package from the colleges and universities. 

  • Title 1 Annual Meeting

    October 18, 2016 - 11:28am

    Our annual Title 1 Parent Meeting will be on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 5:00 PM in Room 418.  At this meeting, we will take a vote whether to form a Parent Advisory Council (PAC) or to have the PTA oversee the 1% budgeted for Parent Involvement from Title 1 funds. Let your voice be heard and come cast your vote.  We welcome more parent involvement in our school, and your feedback will greatly help our school community.
