  • Staff vs Staff Dodgeball

    IMG_4911 Our student government hosted an exciting and much anticipated Staff vs Staff Dodgeball game. IMG_4856 Staff and students filled the gymnasium to witness which team will be victorious.   • GSA Club Leads Day of Silence

    IMG_4402 Our members of the Gay Straight Alliance Club encouraged all students and staff to participate in this national youth-led movement to silence discrimination.

     

    "Raising awareness of discrimination and bullying by standing in solidarity against discrimination is a powerful way for us to spread the message that our school is a safe and welcome space for all students." - GSA Advisor, Ms. Miller.

     
     
     

  • Celebrating 10 Years of Academic Excellence

    In celebration of East-West's 10th Anniversary, staff members received... IMG_3677 a big black bag... IMG_3670 ...containing a commemorative fleece jacket modeled by our Director of College Counseling, Ms. Washington, IMG_3688 and our fantastic teachers, Mr. Oppenheim and Mr. Mullane.   • 8th Grade Trip to Washington DC

    2016-04-08-EWSIS-WashDC-Group-MLK-1 Our 8th grade students making strides towards freedom at the Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial.

     

    During their two day tour of Washington DC, they had the opportunity to visit numerous memorials including the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veteran's and Korean Memorial along with watching one of United States military's most sacred rituals, The Changing of the Guard, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Leave it to Mr. Oppenheim, Mrs. Gorry, Ms. Brainsky and Mr. Agosto for organizing and chaperoning this trip which was both adventurous and academically stimulating.
