    Progress Reports were mailed home Monday, November 4, 2019

    Parents/Guardians - 

    • Progress Reports for your child were mailed home on November 4. This is not a report card. It shows your child's progress as of October 31, 2019.
    • You can view real-time updates of your child's progress by logging into Pupil Path.
    • Marking Period 2 ends November 27, 2019.
    • Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on November 21, 2019, from 4:30 PM- 7:30 PM and November 22, 2019, from 12:15 PM- 2:15 PM.

  • Picture Day - November 7th

    Picture Day is scheduled for Thursday, November 7th

    • Flyers were sent home with students on October 17th
    • Dress Code: All students must be in their East-West uniform for their photo 
    • Payment: please bring order form and payment on November 7th

  • Blue Cards - Return by November 1

    Please return your child’s blue card by November 1st.

    What are blue cards and why are they important?

    • The blue card is used for emergency purposes and is mandated by the department of education.
    • Please note your child will not be able to participate in any after school activities including clubs and field trips until the blue cards are submitted.

    I never received blue cards. Where can I get them?
    If you have never received the blue cards, they can be picked up in the main office.

    Recently moved?
    Please provide two proofs of the new address in order to have your address to be changed.

  • PTA Meeting - October 19th

    The October PTA Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 10 AM.

    During this meeting, we will discuss activities for the 2019-2020 school year.

    Following the PTA meeting, we will have our first parent workshop of the year on “Education Fund” in English and Chinese. All EWSIS parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.

  • Tea with the Principal - Friday, October 11th

    Friday, October 11th is our first “Tea with the Principal” of the year. Come and visit your child’s classes and observe what they are learning throughout the day. You are also invited to sit down and have tea or coffee with our Principal, Mr. Cromer at 9 AM in room 423.

    This is an opportunity to hear what is going on in the school and voice any concerns you may have with our principal and parent coordinator. We look
    forward to seeing you attend!

    的情形及了解他們整天學習的內容。您也被邀請在上午9點至423室與我們的

  • Student Program and Metrocard Pickup

    All students will pick up their programs for the 2019-2020 school year in the auditorium on Wednesday, September 4.

    Metrocards will be distributed at the end of the school day in the Auditorium by school staff.

    The schedule for program pickup is as follows:

    East-West Program Pickup Times:
    Middle School (Grades 6 - 8): 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
    High School (Grades 9 - 12): 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM

  • Starting off the 2019-2020 School Year

    East-West extends a warm welcome back to all new and returning students for the 2019-2020 school year.

    The first day of school will be on September 5th, 2019. All middle school students and high school students will report to muster in the Auditorium at 8:00 AM.

    There will be no zero period classes on the first day of school.

    All students must wear their East-West school uniform on the first day. For incoming students without school uniforms, please bring your order receipt for confirmation.

  • Summer School 2019

    Students attending summer school will be following the schedule below, at the East-West school building.

    Summer School HS July 1- August 12, Mon-Thu
    Summer School MS July 1- August 8, Mon-Thu

    Classes run from 8:00AM - 2:00PM, beginning on Monday, July 1st.

  • High School Graduation and 8th Grade Stepping Up Ceremony

    High school seniors will attend graduation at 4PM, Queens College, Lefrak Hall.

    The 8th grade Stepping Up Ceremony will be in the East-West Auditorium. The ceremony begins at 8:30AM.

  • No School on Monday, June 24th 2019

    6th and 7th grade middle school students and high school students are not in attendance on Monday, June 24th 2019.

    8th grade students attending the Stepping Up Ceremony will attend school. The ceremony begins at 8:30AM.

    High School seniors will attend graduation at 4PM, Queens College, Lefrak Hall.
