Dear East-West Parents and Guardians,
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) holds regular monthly meetings on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. You are warmly invited and strongly encouraged to attend our next monthly meeting, to be held on Saturday, December 4.
Our meeting will open with a short special presentation to help us get into the holiday spirit. Several of our wonderful, generous parents have volunteered to bring HolidayTreats from Around the World. Each type of cookie or other goodie will be briefly introduced by the parent who brought it. The tasting duties will then be shared by all!
The business portion of the meeting is designed to give parents tools and information they can use to help their children get the most from their education. We will begin with a presentation about Title I funding and parent involvement. The meeting will go on to cover news and information specific to East-West from the PTA, Principal Mr. Sherman, and Assistant Principals, Ms. Oh and Ms. Panday. In response to requests from parents, an overview of the Regents Exam system and this year’s test schedule will be presented. And finally, we always allow plenty of time for a question and answer period so that the concerns of the parents can be addressed by the school administration. The meeting will end at approximately 11:15 AM.
As always, we will have translation services for Spanish and Chinese speaking parents.
