  • 8th Grade Trip to Washington DC

    Good evening, this is the East-West School of International Studies calling with an announcement. We are pleased to announce that the 8th graders are all invited to sign up for and pay for a two day one night Washington D.C. field trip. The trip will be with a professional tour guide and chaperoned by teachers. The trip is Friday April 8th and Saturday April 9th. The cost is $100 deposit due Friday January 15th with the registration form, and the remaining balance due February 26. Please see the note sent home with your student for more information. El viaje será con un guía profesional y acompañó por los profesores. El viaje es el viernes 8 de abril y el sábado 9 de abril. El costo es de 100 dólares de depósito vence el viernes 15 de enero con el formulario de inscripción, y el saldo restante debido el 26 de febrero.   • Hodori After-school Program

    Dear families, this is the East-West school of International Studies calling with an exciting announcement. We have openings in our free Hodori Afterschool program for middle school students only.  The program runs Monday through Friday until 5:15pm after school, and offers homework help, educational activities and a choice between Taekwondo, Korean drumming, Art, dance, fencing, cooking, etc. The field trips are also included for free.  Call 917-635-2333 for details, or pick up an application at the school room 405H after 11 am to enroll your student immediately.  If you have missed any portion of this message please visit our website at www.ewsis.org

This is the East-West School of International Studies PTA calling to wish you a Happy New Year and to remind you that our next PTA meeting will be held on this coming Saturday morning, January 9 at 10:00 AM. All parents and guardians are cordially invited to attend. The business portion of the meeting will offer updated news for parents. It will include reports from our school administrators and other staff members. As always, we will provide plenty of time for a question and answer period.  Immediately following the meeting, we will be holding a Title 1 Parent Workshop on "Health & Fitness: Zumba With Your Child".  We encourage all parents and their children to participate in this free fitness class together.
