Hello. This is the East-West School of International Studies calling to inform you that our next PTA meeting will be held on Saturday morning, November 7 at 10:00 AM. All parents and guardians are cordially invited to attend. The business portion of the meeting will offer updated news for parents. We will be taking an important vote at this meeting to determine whether or not to change the day of our monthly PTA meetings. Come and let your voice be heard. It will also include reports from our school administrators and other staff members. And as always, we will provide plenty of time for a question and answer period.   Please join us for this informative meeting. Dear 8^th Grade Parent,

We are in the stages of planning the 8^th grade Stepping Up activities and class trip.  To help offset the cost of their 8^th Grade Trip, we are asking each family to sell boxes of chocolate from World’s Finest.  Last year, we raised over $4,000 from the candy sale.  This helped us offset the cost of the coach buses.  Please ask your child for the permission slip they were given today.  Again, we thank you for your continued support.  If you have any questions, please call the school at 718-353-0009.  You can speak with Mrs. Esposito or Mr. Kleiman.  If you have missed any portion of this message, please visit our website at www.ewsis.org.  Thank you and have a pleasant evening.

Annual Title 1 Parent Meeting

At this important informational meeting Principal Sherman will be sharing an overview of our school’s Title 1 program which is one component of our Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP).

We will also take a vote whether to form a Parent Advisory Council (PAC) or to have the PTA oversee the 1% budgeted for Parent Involvement from Title 1 funds.

Let your voice be heard and come cast your vote.  We welcome more parent involvement in our school, and your feedback will greatly help our school community.
