  • April PTA Meeting

    Our next PTA meeting will be held this Saturday morning, April 5th at 10:00 AM.  All parents and guardians are cordially invited to attend.

    The morning will begin with a light breakfast buffet.  The business portion of the meeting will offer updated news for parents.

    We are looking for parents to join the Nominations Committee.  Please come and let your voice be heard.  It will also include reports from our Principal, Assistant Principals, and other staff members.  As always, we will provide plenty of time for a question and answer period.

  • PTA Box Tops For Education

    Hello, this is a message from the PTA of East West School of International Studies. Families please help support the school by sending in your Box Tops for Education by the end of March. Every box top helps us earn cash. Students can drop their box tops into the collection box outside of the Main Office, Room 428 or you can bring them to Parent-Teacher Conferences on March 27 and 28.   • Parent-Teacher Conference March 2014

    Good Evening, This is the East-West School of International Studies calling to inform you that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 27th from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday March 28th from 12:00 – 2:15 p.m.  There will be a half day for students on Friday, March 28th.  Students will be dismissed at 11:09 a.m.  Please be aware that we will open our doors one half hour prior to the start of the conferences on Thursday, March 27th,   to give parents the opportunity to fill out their survey before heading upstairs to meet with teachers.  We look forward to seeing you during the conferences.

  • Basketball Tournament

    Good Evening, this is the East-West School of International Studies calling with an important announcement. Tomorrow, East-West student government is hosting a 3 on 3 basketball tournament from 3:00-6:00 pm in the gymnasium. Tickets are $2.00 to attend. The Japanese committee will be selling drinks and snacks. Hope to see everyone there.

  • 8th Grade Parents regarding Testing

    Good Evening, 8th Grade Parent.
     
    This is the East-West School of International Studies calling with important information your 8th grader received today. This year, New York State revamped testing requirements for 8th grade students. No student will be double tested, meaning your child will no longer take the New York State Math test on April 29th, April 30th, and May 1st.  As a result, your child must take the Common Core Math Algebra 1 Regents on June 3rd, and the Integrated Algebra Regents on June 20th.
     
    We will hold a meeting on March 19th from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to discuss this information with you and to answer any questions you may have. We will also address the 8th Grade Stepping Up Ceremony and our 8th Grade Trip.

  • Testing Letter to 8th Grade Parents

    Dear 8th Grade Parent/Guardian:

    This year NY State revamped testing requirements for 8th grade students. No student will be double tested, meaning your child will no longer take the NY State Math test on April 29th, April 30th, and May 1st.  As a result, your child must take the Common Core Math Algebra 1 Regents on June 3rd and the Integrated Algebra Regents on June 20th.
